Set up NAVER Map before your first journey

Practise one journey before you need it: change the language, find your accommodation and inspect the last part of the route.

NAVER's official app listing includes English-language maps and transport directions. This guide uses operator documentation; we have not tested the current mobile app on an iPhone or Android device. Official app listing

Choose the instructions for your phone

Android: open your profile through MY, enter settings using the gear icon, then find the language option and select English.

iPhone: use the app's language setting to reach the device setting for NAVER Map, then select English. If the preferred-language option is absent, NAVER says to add a supported language in the device's Language & Region settings first.

The exact screen can change. These paths are documented in NAVER's language help, which includes an English section.

Build a useful route note

Use your booking confirmation or the venue's own website to obtain the exact destination. Our suggested checklist is:

1. Search for the place and compare its address with your booking.
2. If the result is unclear, try its Korean name or street address.
3. Check the branch and district before choosing it.
4. Set your actual starting point, such as your terminal or station.
5. Open the full route, including the walking section at the end.
6. Keep the destination text and key route details in your phone's notes.

For public transport, NAVER documents sorting by overall recommendation, journey time, transfers and walking. With a suitcase, compare the last two as well as the fastest option. NAVER transit help

For a walking route, NAVER offers an option to avoid stairs and escalators. This does not certify that every part of the journey is accessible; inspect entrances and confirm facilities with the venue when needed.
